The world's greatest superhero family return in The Incredibles 2, a sequel to the 2004 film, The Incredibles, a computer-animated comedy superhero film written and directed by Brad Bird. Fans have been long requested an Incredibles sequel, well, at long last it appears that Disney and Pixar is ready to grant the masses of Incredibles die-hard fan their wish.
On March 18, 2014 at the annual meeting of the shareholders and D23 members. Disney CEO Robert A. Iger and Brad Bird announced that Pixar had begun pre-production on The Incredibles 2. Iger said a new Cars Movie is in the work as well but didn't elaborate further. Later that month Samuel L. Jackson told Digital Spy that he would likely reprise his role as Frozon. Iger said he has old ideas from the first film that he didn't get to use and would like to use in the coming sequel, along with some fresh ideas as well. He also stated "I don't think that kind of idea stays interesting for very long. For me, the interesting thing was never the superhero part of it. It was more the family dynamic and how do superhero thing plays into that." In April 2015, Bird revealed to NPR that he has begun writing the screenplay for the sequel. The following month Bird announced that the Incredibles would be his next project following Tomorrowland.

The official Twitter account of Disney released the official logo of "The Incredibles 2" with the caption of "It's official: we're currently working on new films featuring your favorite characters from The Incredibles and Cars!" Media reports are speculating about the exact date of release of the film. The Venture Capital post said "The Incredibles 2 release date is sometime in 2017 or 2018. There are also rumors that it will come out by December 2017. But according to the 2015 Sao Paulo Disney Expo, the film may be released in 2019, fifteen years after the original. Though many are exciting and speculating, Disney has not yet announced an official release date for the project. In addition to the film Disney plans to release "The Incredibles 2" in 3D.
