Steve Harvey Posted A Public Apology Through Twitter But Misspelled Both Countries Name - Miss Universe Controversy

Miss Universe 2015 is one of the most awaited beauty pageant of the year where different countries representing the beauty and responsibility of women around the universe. The 64th Miss Universe pageant, was held on 20 December 2015 at the AXIS Theater, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. But the prestigious beauty pageant had became the center of controversy when host Steve Harvey incorrectly announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the Miss Universe 2015.

At the first three minutes while Miss Colombia who had already put on the crown and sash and walked the stage as a winner. She was having her shining moment, as she blew kisses to the audience and smiling broadly to the crowd and waving her country flag, nobody reacted about the result not until Steve Harvey returned to the stage in front of the audience beside Miss Colombia and asked for apology for the horrible mistakes. 

 "Ok Folks... I have to apologize, Let me just take control of this. This is exactly what's on the card. I will take responsibility for this. It was my mistake. It was on the card."   

While Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach at the corner side of the stage together with Miss US looked so puzzled about what is happening. She looked stunned when she realised that she won the prestigious title. But when Steve Harvey corrects the error and announced the real winner, she finally walked to the stage with a little bit of hesitation and finally she was crowned as the Miss Universe 2015. Comedian, talk show host Steve Harvey made a public apology through tweeter, misspelling both countries' names. 

 "I want to apologize emphatically to Miss Philippians and Miss Columbia," he tweeted Sunday.



"This was a terribly honest human mistake and I am so regretful." About half an hour later he replaced the tweet within one spelled correctly and put additional tweet, 

"I'd like to apologize to the viewers... that I disappointed as well. Again, it was an honest mistake. I don't  want to take away from this amazing night and pageant. As well as the wonderful contestant. They were all amazing."
